St Bees Station Circular via St Bees Head

Clifftop circular over the dramatic sandstone headland of St Bees Head, start of the Coast to Coast Walk, and the medieval St Bees Priory.

5km. 1h30.

Steep section on the cliff path. The footpath to the priory churchyard can be muddy; Station Road is an alternative.

Highlights: St Bees Head (A dramatic sandstone headland of two promontories split by the secluded cove of Fleswick Bay, marking the start of Wainwright's Coast-to-Coast walk) and St Bees Priory (A medieval priory church set beside the Priory Paddock wildflower garden).
