Featherstone Station to Pontefract Baghill Station

Recommended: An easy, direct route mixing residential streets with surfaced paths and open field crossings and including two level crossings and a footbridge over the A639. A short climb skirts a hill on the edge of Pontefract before the town centre. Can be continued to Pontefract Monkhill station.

Warnings: Two level crossings en route.

A mostly paved, easy walk on pavements and tarmac and including a pleasant stretch through Pontefract Park and racecourse. Ends at Pontefract bus station, making the return easy.

Warnings: Roads at Glasshoughton are fairly busy but have crossings.
