Coppiced Silkstone Fall Wood with old bell-pit mining, back lanes and a fine hilltop viewpoint towards the Peak District. A short section.

Paths can be muddy in wet periods. Adders in Jays Wood; keep dogs on a lead and supervise children.
Highlights: Silkstone Fall Wood (A coppice woodland traditionally managed by felling one compartment a year, with evidence of early bell-pit coal mining).
