Wargrave Station to Twyford Station
A largely level, stile-free point-to-point between two stations on the Henley branch and main line. From Wargrave it passes the old chalk pit (now a community nature reserve) and Sheeplands Farm, crosses the A4 and reaches the 12th-century church of St James, then continues past the Stanlake Park winery and across Broad Hinton to Twyford station. The GPX traces the longer of two route options.
5km.
No footway across the railway bridge on the approach to Twyford; some paths muddy in winter.
Highlights: Stanlake Park Wine Estate (an English vineyard and winery near Twyford with a cellar shop and cafe).
Lunch: Stanlake Park winery cellar shop on the longer route (limited opening hours).
