Rochester Station to Chatham Station
A short, fairly easy and scenic walk through the historic centre of Rochester, quiet residential streets and a chain of small parks, with great views across the looping River Medway. Less steep than the alternative and with some cobbles and stone paving in Rochester and a few slightly steep sections of around 100m or less; otherwise tarmac or paving slabs. Passes along the historic Rochester High Street.
Tough: steep ascents. 2km.
A short flight of steps near the top of Fort Pitt Hill (avoidable). Some slightly steep sections and loose material over old brick on the RRX20 byway.
