Ham Street to Ashford International
A short walk with lots of twists and turns before joining the Greensand Way, which is quite overgrown and leading into Ashford. The overgrown sections create accessibility issues. Follows the Greensand Way. A former large deviation near the end is no longer necessary thanks to a new pedestrian route.

Rye to Ham Street
Some great views from the top of the old Isle of Oxney. A largely flat low-lying route on decent paths, mostly along the Royal Military Canal towpath and with some field paths and a stretch over the higher ground of the old Isle of Oxney. Largely follows the Saxon Shore Way. In dry summers an alternative Saxon Shore Path from Appledore to Ham Street offers better, more varied scenery.
Waterway: two thirds along the Royal Military Canal.
Lamb House: Georgian house in Rye, built in 1723; once a mayoral residence that welcomed King George I and later home to writers Henry James and E. F. Benson (National Trust; 1h to visit).
