A reasonably direct route avoiding the busy, polluted A217 Wandsworth Bridge Road (apart from the bridge itself), through quiet residential streets and small green spaces with a short stretch along the river. Well lit throughout; a few steps up to Wandsworth Bridge and with ramped access available a little further on. A 24/7 route with lighting throughout. Fulham Broadway shopping centre has public toilets and a supermarket.
Easy: 4km, moderate ascents.
Lunch: A large supermarket with a cafe near Wandsworth Bridge, plus options at both ends.

Putney Station to Fulham Broadway Station
A pleasant, fairly direct walk along Putney High Street, over Putney Bridge with river views, then through quiet residential streets and small parks. Flat, paved and good for wheels and with wide pavements; some bike barriers and a ramp at Eel Brook Common.
Easy: 3km, gentle ascents.
