great views of the City. An exceptionally green urban route, almost entirely through parks and open spaces — Alexandra Park, the Parkland Walk with great city views, Highgate Wood and Hampstead Heath — with only short residential-street sections. Excellent paths with lots of shade.

Hampstead Heath Station to Camden Town Station
A short, direct urban route following a main road that has been nicely traffic-calmed with wide pavements, plus genteel residential streets near Hampstead. One section has a slippery brick pavement when wet and there is a notable climb up to Hampstead Heath. Passes a historic Bauhaus building with a small museum and several Leslie Green underground stations with their distinctive dark-red tiles; showcases Camden Market.
