Dorking Deepdene Station to Betchworth Station
This scenic walk follows the River Mole beneath the iconic slopes of Box Hill, passing the charming villages of Pixham and Brockham before ending at Betchworth station. Leaving Dorking Deepdene, the route goes by St Mary's Church at Pixham and Castle Mill, skirts Betchworth Park Golf Club and passes a WWII pillbox and the historic More Place estate. At Betchworth it reaches St Michael's Church, which featured in Four Weddings and a Funeral. The terrain is a mix of pavement and uneven riverside paths. Several pubs and a cafe lie along or near the route, including the Royal Oak, the Grumpy Mole and the Reading Room Cafe at Brockham, plus the Dolphin and Red Lion further on.
