Dorking Deepdene Station to Betchworth Station
This scenic walk follows the River Mole beneath the iconic slopes of Box Hill, passing the charming villages of Pixham and Brockham before ending at Betchworth station. Leaving Dorking Deepdene, the route goes by St Mary's Church at Pixham and Castle Mill, skirts Betchworth Park Golf Club and passes a WWII pillbox and the historic More Place estate. At Betchworth it reaches St Michael's Church, which featured in Four Weddings and a Funeral. The terrain is a mix of pavement and uneven riverside paths. Several pubs and a cafe lie along or near the route, including the Royal Oak, the Grumpy Mole and the Reading Room Cafe at Brockham, plus the Dolphin and Red Lion further on.

Gomshall Station to Dorking Deepdene Station
Billed as a Walk the Chalk route, this hike climbs onto the North Downs Way and follows the chalk ridge from Gomshall towards Dorking, with stunning views that are at their best in spring and summer when orchids bloom and Adonis and Chalkhill Blue butterflies flit through the grassland. Historic WWII pillboxes punctuate the route. The walk descends into Dorking, finishing at Dorking Deepdene station. The terrain features steady inclines and uneven surfaces that can become muddy, and the route is not officially waymarked. There are no toilets at either station, so walkers should plan ahead.
