Frimley Station to Brookwood Station
A pleasant, mostly waterside and traffic-free route following the Blackwater Valley path then the Basingstoke Canal towpath, mostly flat and well surfaced with few access issues, just the occasional gate, narrow footbridge and possibly muddy sections after rain. Surprisingly rural-feeling along the tree-lined waterways and though traffic noise intrudes near Frimley. Follows the Blackwater Valley path then the Basingstoke Canal towpath, including the impressive Brookwood flight of 14 locks. No refreshment stops on the route itself.
Easy: 9km, gentle ascents.
Lunch: No refreshment stops along the route.

Blackwater Station to Frimley Station
A pleasant, generally level walk along the Blackwater River Valley, following the established Blackwater Valley Path on a mix of grass, gravel, tarmac and earth paths through woodland and the open land of Hawley Meadows. Crosses the river on wooden footbridges. Gets very wet and muddy underfoot in places after rain and is narrow where it hugs the river. Follows the established Blackwater Valley Path.
Easy: 3km, moderate ascents.
The route crosses major roads using pedestrian crossings and bridges. After Frimley Business Park there are 38 steps, though a waymarked accessible path bypasses them. Steps at Blackwater station can be avoided by a slope.

Camberley Station to Frimley Station
A simple, leafy suburban walk using mostly quiet residential roads and easy to follow. Long ramps up and down at the footbridge over the M3. Brackendale Road has no footpath and some blind bends.
Easy: 3km, moderate ascents.
Brackendale Road has no footpath and blind bends, so keep to the edges and watch for traffic.

Farnborough (Main) Station to Frimley Station
An easy-to-follow route, mostly a pleasant woodland and riverside walk along the Blackwater Valley path on a generally compacted, fairly level surface with some gravel. A gentle hill near Farnborough station, rises over the A331 road bridge and the Church Path can become very muddy. Road noise from the busy A331 runs alongside for much of the way. Follows the Blackwater Valley path.
Easy: 3km, moderate ascents.
The Church Path becomes very muddy in wet weather; stick to Highgate Lane instead. There is a gated level crossing at Farnborough North station with warning lights.
