Motspur Park Station to Wimbledon Station
A varied and pleasant walk through passageways, leafy suburbs and green spaces, with a well-maintained path along the railway near Wimbledon and some tree-lined sections through wooded areas. Good paths but with some steps and including a railway bridge that is not great for bikes or wheels. Cannon Hill Common, John Innes Park and Joseph Hood Recreation Ground are nearby for a detour or a rest.
Easy: 4km, gentle ascents.
A railway bridge at the end of Merton Hall Road and the line-side path near Wimbledon both have steps with no step-free alternative at those points.

Kingston Station to Motspur Park Station
A greener, quieter urban alternative on mainly quiet residential roads and footpaths, with a couple of near-countryside spots and three river crossings (twice over the Hogsmill, once over Beverley Brook). Passes Fulham FC's training ground at Motspur Park, plus Kingston art college, library and a gallery. Picks up an intermediate station at Berrylands. Motspur Park is having lifts installed.
6km.

Tolworth Station to Motspur Park Station
A direct, straightforward route, mostly roadside walking through surprisingly green suburbs with pleasant residential streets, wide pavements often offset from quiet roads by lawns and trees, small parklet greens. A short green section by the Hogsmill river; step-free with underpass ramps and so good for wheelchairs. The River Hogsmill crossing offers a chance to divert onto a nature trail. Passes Malden Manor station mid-route. Motspur Park station and the Tolworth roundabout underpass were undergoing access works.
4km.
Lunch: A Co-op food store and refreshments at Malden Manor mid-route.

Ewell West Station to Motspur Park Station
A green park-and-woodland walk through beautiful nature spaces, including a relaxing path through Motspur Park and a long stretch across Nonsuch Park. Some earth paths and steps through woods; parts of Nonsuch Park can be very muddy and narrow and even impassable in wet weather. Uses part of the London Loop between Ewell and Nonsuch Park; bluebells in spring.
Easy: 6km, gentle ascents.
Part of the route through Nonsuch Park is very muddy and can be impassable in wet weather; the A24 footpath alternative has busy, fast traffic and a precarious crossing. Take care crossing the Ewell bypass dual carriageway, using the nearby pedestrian crossing.
Lunch stop: Nonsuch Mansion café.
