Walsall Station to Tame Bridge Parkway Station
A short urban route on roadside pavements through southern Walsall and Wednesbury, with a memorable middle section of steps and fenced footbridges crossing the M6 and the River Tame and two railway lines near Bescot Stadium. Can be combined with adjoining Slow Ways towards Halesowen. Frequent shops along the way but no public toilets noted.
Easy: 6km, moderate ascents.
The crossing near Bescot Stadium involves several flights of steps and a short stretch beside the M6 carriageway (separated by a wall); signage is poor and the path needs care to follow.
Lunch: Plenty of shops and food options along the way, with a pub at Stone Cross.
