Hagley to Barnt Green (Worcestershire)
15 minutes direct from Hartlebury.
Ridge walk over North Worcestershire Hills, open hilltops, scrubland, gorse, woods, pastures, motorway bridge crossing, country parks and heathland with bilberry and heather.

Picturesque and historically rich. Riverside paths, fields, woodland and urban approaches. Walk traversing two rivers to reach a Victorian spa town beneath iconic hills.

Bromsgrove to Droitwich Spa (Worcestershire)

Mostly along canal towpaths with field paths and road sections. Walk through mid-Worcestershire from Bromsgrove to Droitwich Spa, tracing salt industry heritage and Victorian spa development via canal routes. Droitwich is a town literally constructed on salt.
Waterway: four fifths along the Worcester & Birmingham Canal.

Warnings: Be careful of fast-moving cars on lane; towpath muddy in places.

Kidderminster to Stourbridge Town (Worcestershire)

Dramatic and beautiful edge (Kinver Edge). Hilly, wooded, red sandstone landscape and largely along canal towpaths. Walk traverses three counties across a landscape shaped by 17th-century glass, brick, and pottery industries powered by coal from nearby collieries.
Waterway: nine tenths along the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal.
Woodland: two fifths under tree cover.

Warnings: Roundabout crossing in Kidderminster requires use of subways.

Droitwich Spa to Redditch (Worcestershire)
8 minutes direct from Hartlebury.
Field footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes through farmland and woodland edge and with some pavement and road sections through villages. A bridleway can be a running stream and some field paths can be overgrown. Passes Hanbury Church and the edge of Pitcher Oak Wood.
Time: 4h30–9h
Lunch: Hanbury Church offered refreshments and a loo (informal hospitality).
Warnings: The bridleway north of Leasowes Farm can be a running stream; the footpath near Millfield Farm was overgrown, so staying on the lane is recommended.

Kidderminster to Hagley (Worcestershire)
5 minutes direct from Hartlebury.
A mix of long urban pavements and surprisingly good off-road paths through pleasant countryside, including woodland and a path around Harborough Hill and with a central stretch of over a mile alongside the busy A456 on wide pavements. Best part is Hurcott Wood just after leaving Kidderminster, with bluebells in spring and birdsong.

Time: 2h30–5h
Lunch: A couple of pubs in Blakedown for potential stops.
Warnings: Follows a busy road for a sixth of the walk. The long stretch alongside the busy A456 and a few other road sections without verges require care; Hurcott Lane is a narrow lane used as a rat run with no pavement.

Hagley Circular via the Clent Hills & Calcot Hill (Worcestershire)
