Redditch to Wythall

Recommended: Some great views from the elevated sections. An enjoyable route via Rowney Green and Weatheroak Hill with much less road walking than other versions and some great views from elevated sections. Very muddy in places (boots needed), with some paths following field perimeters where crops obscure the line and stiles in need of repair.

Time: 3h–6h30

Warnings: Crossing the busy A435, particularly around Wythall, needs care and extra vigilance. Some stiles are in poor condition. Crops can obscure field paths, requiring you to follow field perimeters. Very muddy in places; boots needed.

Droitwich Spa to Redditch

Field footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes through farmland and woodland edge and with some pavement and road sections through villages. A bridleway can be a running stream and some field paths can be overgrown. Passes Hanbury Church and the edge of Pitcher Oak Wood.

Time: 4h30–9h

Lunch: Hanbury Church offered refreshments and a loo (informal hospitality).

Warnings: The bridleway north of Leasowes Farm can be a running stream; the footpath near Millfield Farm was overgrown, so staying on the lane is recommended.
