Matlock Station to Cromford Station

Spectacular views down the River Derwent gorge. Over the hills above the River Derwent. Cromford was birthplace of the factory system. Riber Castle is a Victorian country house built in 1860s by industrialist John Smedley. Hard terrain; slippy descent; busy road crossing; narrow path.
