Marske Station to Saltburn Station
An easy, safe coastal-edge walk on good footpaths through housing estates and an extensive area of allotments and on mainly hard-surfaced track running alongside the railway. A few steep bits and one gravelly part by the fields; mostly a steady climb from Saltburn to Marske. The path through the allotments is a designated bridleway, so dogs should be kept on leads. Could be enjoyed as a circular route, walking back to Marske along the beach when the tide permits. Disabled toilets (keys needed) in Saltburn and Marske.
Easy: 3km, moderate ascents.
Plenty of places to eat near the station in Saltburn, with the Victorian Cliff Lift and beach a short walk away.

Redcar Central Station to Marske Station
lovely coastal walk; the views over to the cliffs at Huntcliffe are superb; views are stunning. An easy, uncomplicated coastal walk starting along Redcar's promenade and the hard-surfaced esplanade and then over grassy dunes on a waymarked path before joining a footpath beside the road into Marske. The dune path can be a little muddy after rain; a roadside pavement offers a fully accessible alternative. An accessible alternative follows the footpath next to the road directly to Marske, suitable for wheelchair users or strollers. Plenty of places to stop for food and refreshments at the finish in Marske.
Easy: 4km, moderate ascents.
