Longfield Station to Northfleet Station
A pleasant route through the Ebbsfleet Valley using footpaths among long rewilded spoil pits, embankments and flooded quarries and plus a roadside stretch along Thames Way and some alleyways in Longfield. The valley footpaths are twisting and disorientating; charming but indirect. The rewilded spoil pits, embankments and flooded quarries are charming, with unexpected flora.
Easy: 9km, moderate ascents.
The footpaths in the Ebbsfleet Valley are very twisted and disorientating, with an entrance that is hard to find — risk of getting lost.

Swanscombe Station to Northfleet Station
A very short urban route using a cycle/footpath through a nature strip and a quiet roundabout, with safe crossings and pavements throughout and designed to avoid an unsafe business park.

Two zebra crossings near Swanscombe station keep the road crossings safe; the original route's path through the Ebbsfleet Business Park with heavy plant is unsafe and avoided here.

Northfleet Station to Gravesend Station
A varied but very industrial/urban route, mostly along the England Coast Path beside the River Thames through a mix of small and large-scale industrial areas and active redevelopment, with intermittent river views. Includes pedestrian-segregated sections through working industrial sites, several flights of steps and especially on the Gravesend sea wall. Mostly follows the England Coast Path along the Thames, with views across to Tilbury. You can visit the burial place of Pocahontas with a tiny detour into the churchyard. Northfleet Harbour nature reserve on one diversion.
Easy: 4km, moderate ascents.
Some industrial estate roads carry HGV and tanker traffic. Expect diversions through areas under active redevelopment, and sections where pedestrians are strictly segregated from industrial vehicles. Several flights of steps, especially at Gravesend.
Lunch: Cafes and fish and chips in Gravesend.
