Best walk from Hayes and Harlington

Hayes and Harlington Station to Southall Station

A practical, flat and easy route mostly along the Grand Union Canal towpath, with good grit paths and wide pavements through Southall and Hayes. Passes through residential areas, light industry and green spaces; largely uninspiring industrial scenery but easy to follow. Flights of steps to and from the canal at the Hayes end and no lighting along the way. Mainly follows the Grand Union Canal with only one main turn at the canal junction. No lighting along the way. Plenty of nature, blossom and flowers in spring.
