Honeybourne to Stratford-upon-Avon (Gloucestershire)
45 minutes direct from Acocks Green.
Beautiful line through the northern Cotswolds. Trackbed of old railway line, fields, roads through villages and flat greenway. Route follows the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway from 1859, closed for passenger services in 1968-1969, finally closed in 1976. Now a greenway.
Time: 4h–7h30
Warnings: First section still in use for goods traffic; moderately busy road between Pebworth and Long Marston.

Droitwich Spa to Hartlebury (Worcestershire)
1 hour direct from Acocks Green.
Parkland and field paths past lakes and fishing ponds.
Time: 3h–6h

Dorridge Circular via Packwood House (Warwickshire)
15 minutes direct from Acocks Green.
Quintessential English country house. Countryside; partly along the Grand Union Canal towpath. Packwood House is a 16th-century half-timbered manor house extensively reimagined in 1920s by Baron Ash; gifted to National Trust in 1941.

Warnings: Fairly busy road; muddy field conditions.

Solihull to Birmingham Moor Street (Warwickshire)
5 minutes direct from Acocks Green.
Mostly towpath along the Birmingham branch of the Grand Union Canal. Canal authorized in 1793 connecting Digbeth to Warwick; modernized in 1930s; freight traffic ceased by 1970s.
Waterway: four fifths along the Grand Union Canal.
Time: 3h30–6h30
Warnings: Some low bridges requiring ducking; steep ramp at end.

Dorridge to Henley-in-Arden (Warwickshire)
15 minutes direct from Acocks Green.
Countryside; primarily along canal towpaths. Henley-in-Arden is a medieval new town founded early 13th century when the lord of Beaudesert Castle purchased a market charter.

Dorridge to Warwick (Warwickshire)
15 minutes direct from Acocks Green.
Impressively deep cutting. Primarily along Grand Union Canal towpath. Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire, home to the Collegiate Church of St Mary with its 40-metre tower. The Great Fire of 1693 destroyed much of the town.
Waterway: four fifths along the Grand Union Canal.
Time: 5h30–10h30
Warnings: Muddy field conditions possible; infrequent train service from Warwick.
