Quintessential English country house. Countryside; partly along the Grand Union Canal towpath. Packwood House is a 16th-century half-timbered manor house extensively reimagined in 1920s by Baron Ash; gifted to National Trust in 1941.

Packwood House: Much-restored Tudor house, park and garden with notable topiary (National Trust; 2h to visit).

Baddesley Clinton: Discover a secluded, intimate estate set in the heart of the Forest of Arden with 500 years of fascinating and unexpected stories (National Trust; 2h30 to visit).
